"Originally based in Philadelphia, Jane Snead Samplers designed, manufactured, and sold stamped embroidery kits to hobbyists via mail order beginning in 1955. For over 50 years, thousands of kits were sold to stitching enthusiasts throughout the world. The entire collection consists of nearly 300 designs depicting a variety of classic sampler themes including traditional antique sampler reproductions, Victorian heirloom samplers, Pennsylvania Dutch samplers, and samplers featuring holiday, religious, humorous, and children’s themes."

A late night pic of Ronaldo lost in the forest on my desk,
and hibou looking pretty on a log.
Pete roasting green chiles,
and a TACO food truck.
I hope to have some better pictures to post soon but till then here's a sneak peek of the paper display I put together for a Colorado handmade exhibit at the DIA. The exhibit will be up till the end of April so if you find yourself on the moving sidewalk headed for terminal A be sure to look out for these guys.

"Stella Stumbled upon a Giant Snail" diorama locket, a becky's buttons & Miss Guindon collaboration.
"Stella Stumbled upon a Giant Snail" & "Esther Finally Arrived at the Cabin"
This month I collaborated with becky's buttons to make a set of limited edition diorama lockets. Each locket, a limited run of fifty, is put together lovingly by Becky Wareing-Steele.
Mushroom & Male Couple dioramas by becky's buttons
Peridot Diorama Couple
Becky, a leading lady in the Denver art and craft scene and all around great gal, makes charming dioramas that sometimes depict business men lost in snow storms or folks perched on a giant mushrooms, or the one above featuring a couple that looks as though they're considering a permanent move to a lonely rock.
Our collab is available for purchase both in Becky's shop and mine, get them while they last (^_^)

A week from today is Puces Pop
As a solo seller this time, I've been inspired by vintage books and pamphlets made specifically for Bazaar Crafts:
(click on the image for Etsy links)
So far I have cat toys, plant accessories, pot holders, pillow cases, collars, pins and wall hangings:
Puces Pop
September 22nd-23rd 11am-6pm
St. Michel Church
(corner of rue St. Urbain/St. Viateur)
Montreal
Another fun project I've been involved with is making a puppet for Kid's Pop:
(a new role for this pal ^__~)
It's for a workshop where participants can cut and create their own puppet people complete with hats and hair-do's.
I also contributed to the Kid's Pop colouring book, which I think is a great idea:
Back to crafting!
