I got on the digital train and added two PDFcross stitch patterns to my shop.

To celebrate, I offer you free border patterns:

The solid boxes are full stitches, the half boxes are half stitches. All you need is evenweave fabric, embroidery floss and an embroidery needle to get started.

I'll be adding two more border patterns soon, including motifs of outer space, cats in boats and traditional folk.

Potholders

Sara used to have round potholders hanging in her kitchen when she lived in Montreal, and I always loved the way they looked. I thought they would be a great way to use scrap fabric.

So I tried making a few:

 









Still working on the sewing in circles part, but I hope to bring a stack of these to General 54 in the coming days.

Miss Guindon's shop

Hello there, it's been awhile!

I've opened my Etsy store for paper puppets, prints and more.  My selection is pretty limited for the moment.  I have lots of projects on the go, and plan to add new work soon, stay tuned:)

Here is a glimpse of some black and white drawings I'm working on for a zine that I hope to have finished soon.  The concept is simple, unknown people from an unknown town. 

We recently got a dog named Tomah.  He's a real charmer, and full of energy, which means I'm forced to jog every morning, a big deal for me.  He also groans a lot, it's distracting, but in a good way.  I've finally settled into my new home studio, and Tomah, aside from Sam, is the perfect studio mate.  Speaking of, if you'd like to see more of my studio, there is a nice post about it over at Boys with Banjos.
