We've decided that instead of separating our items because what Sara and I create are so different, we would merge everything together, and treat our Etsy site as a virtual boutique showcasing everything we do.

I really can't verbally express my love for Shinzi Katoh
If I were to physically express my adoration, however, I would rent a hot air balloon from a nonchalent talking dog wearing a hat, and sail over brightly coloured tree tops, and red-roofed houses, yelling, "I love you Shinzi!" out of a large construction paper cone. Beside me would be my cat, and he would also talk, and we would agree that nothing beats a fuzzy toilet seat cover, nostalgic memory bath towel, or hand-drawn girl saying, "someday, I'll find you"....Nothing.

Pin Pals are working, but lately it's felt as if I sleep in a snowsuit which is sound-proof and time-proof and prevents me from getting up, and getting to the studio at a decent hour.
I entirely blame the weather on my lingering dormancy issues, and although spring is the closest season from here on in, it's still dark at 6pm, and it's still windy, and there are still secret patches of ice all over the place.
But enough complaining.
You can't fight nature, and my studio pals have been doing a darn fine job of keeping my February blues away. Them, and listening to sunshine 60's pop bands like The Millenium.
Also, I've read that the secret to beating the winter blues according to a cookbook entitled, The Cooking of Scandinavia is to bake Danish pastries, drink Aquavit and empty coffeepots over and over again. Sounds good to me!

First off, a picture of my cat in the bathtub.
I realize he has nothing to do with Pin Pal affairs, but I think he's cute, and he only drinks from dripping taps, and he's hard to take pictures of so I jumped at the chance!
This week I found some great second-hand embroidery yarn. I love the colours, they're literally my favorite shades. Especially the mustard yellows and corals. The packaging is also great, it has a silk-screened look to it, and those tulip-like flowers make a really nice motif!
I'm going to use it to make more Yarn Cube Earrings and for some new embroidered pins I'm scheming up!
Also this week, The Pin Pals joined Zone Orange , a really neat boutique in Old Montreal which features many local artisans on display in seperate shelving cubes which gives the store a full, cozy feeling. You can also grab a coffee while you look around as they have a small cafe set-up in the middle of the store complete with snazzy orange chairs!

We also signed up for a craft fair this coming weekend called Crafty Bazaar Affair, It's a Valentine/February Blues be damned kind of event in the cozy basement of the St. Michel church.
